　　《希区柯克悬疑短篇故事集:第四季》(Alfred Hitchcock Presents:Season Four) 是著名悬疑大师希区柯克的电视节目。这节目是单元剧，每集一个故事，在故事播放前后，希区柯克也会展示他一贯的英式幽默。紧张大师希区柯克的成就并不只有电影，他对美国的电视业也同样大有贡献，由他本人担任主持的希区柯克剧场每周推出一部短片，风格融合了恐怖、剧情、悬疑、幽默等元素，好看程度毫不输给他的那些长片。第四季总共收录了36个故事，适合心理镇定人士在深夜入睡前观看，平常爱做噩梦的免碰为妙。

　　Stella Ballister (Patricia Owens) receives the horrifying news that her husband met with an untimely demise while mountain climbing. Newly married, Stella asks for the retrieval of her husband's body - but the task proves impossible when the corpse accidentally falls into a deep crevasse, where no human eyes or hands can reach him. Mark (James Donald), having feelings for Stella, stays by her side, a close friend and nothing more. Forty years later, still trying to get over the news of the accident, Stella learns that the glacier has moved. Hiring a crew to help prospect her husband out of the ice, they find the body preserved and untouched. Stella views the body of her husband one last time.

　　Twice a month, Mrs. Bixby travels to Baltimore to visit an elderly aunt, her only living relative. Or so she tells her dentist husband. In fact, she visits the Colonel, her rich lover. Before returning home, he gives her a gift of a fur coat - along with a letter saying that they won't be seeing other any more. Mrs. Bixby decides to pawn the coat but her elaborate scheme to explain the coat to her husband doesn't quite go as planned.

　　Professor Jarvis is, as one student describes him, the most henpecked man in the world. When he catches Perry Hatch cheating on an exam, he informs him that he will not be reported to the university but rather to his father who, Prof. Jarivs hopes, will mete out appropriate punishment. Hatch is none too pleased and when he hears that Jarvis's wife has been gone for several weeks, starts to wonder if Jarvis may have gotten rid of her. He and a friend spy on him and find him throwing away some of his wife's belongings. They take their case to the police who decide to question him.

　　A couple of years have passed since Corrado Cattani and Giulia Antinari broke up; during this time, Giulia died in an accident (that might or might not have been planned by Tano) and Corrado has lived alone in a place when he can be guarded 24/7. A new investigation brings him face to face with his old enemy Tano Carridi again: at a reception organized by the Antinari bank, a casino owner named Tindari,someone with close connections to the mafia, is brutally murdered.It turns out that the asassin, Salvatore Frolo,had personal reasons to commit the murder: back in Sicilia, many years ago,Tindari had killed his wife and daughter. While Corrado investigates the case with the help of judge Silvia Conti and journalist Davide Faeti,hoping to find more about the mafia's involvement in Tindari's casino business, Tano has three main points on his agenda: 1.Get Greta Antinari's custody in order to have total control over the Antinari bank; 2. Invest mafia money into a huge corporation called "International Insurances", the first step towards taking over the company being a convenient marriage with the "Insurances" manager's daughter, Ester Rasi; 3. Get rid of Cattani once and for all...

　　Barbie Hallem is a bored rich girl, who drinks too much, parties too much and flirts outrageously with any man she meets. And there's no reason to think she stops at flirting, even though she has a boyfriend. But her boyfriend is a drip. He won't punch out a guy when he sees her kissing him. The dullard even tries to take her home when she gets drunk at a party. What she wants to do is go up to the mountains and stay at the cabin her uncle left to her. The boyfriend tries to tag along, but she manages to abandon him at the side of the road. Before the night is over, she'll wish desperately she had just gone home.
